Why a fast speed test can coexist with buffering
Speed tests often open several connections for a short burst and report an average or peak. A player must keep its buffer supplied over time. Brief Wi-Fi drops, high jitter, packet loss or a congested route can drain that buffer even when the headline Mbps looks excellent.
